【 摘 要 】
Afieldstudywascarriedoutduring2013attheexperimentalareaofEntomologySection,AgricultureResearchInstitute,(ARI)TandoJamtoexaminetheeffectofbio-pesticidesagainstsuckinginsectpestsofbrinjalcropunderfieldconditions.Fivetreatmentswiththreereplicationswereapplied.ThetreatmentswereT1=chemicalcontrol(confidor/Diamond),T2=Neem(Azadirachtaindica),T3=Tobacco(Nicotianatabacum),T4=Eucalyptus(Eucalyptusglobus),T5=Untreated(Control).Threeinsectpestswerefoundinfestingbrinjalincludingwhiteflies,jassidandmites.Pretreatment-andpost-treatmentobservationswererecorded.Theresultsrevealedthatagainstwhitefly,thefirstsprayofchemicalcontrol(confidor)showedhighestreductionpercent(96.62%)followedbyNeemextract(82.60%),Tobaccoextract(75.95%),Eucalyptusextract(73.93%)andlowestforuntreatedcontrol(11.07%);whileinthesecondsprayalso,chemicalcontrol(Diamond)showedhighesteffectagainstwhitefly(78.32%);followedbyNeemextract(67.53%),Tobaccoextract(56.43%),Eucalyptusextract(42.25%)andleastbyuntreatedplot(5.49%).Againstjassid,chemicalcontrol(confidor)showedhighesteffect(77.90%)asobservedduring1stspray,followedbyNeemextract(55.95%),Tobaccoextract(53.38%),Eucalyptusextract(53.99%)anduntreatedcontrol(8.00%),whileaftersecondsprayalsochemicalcontrol(Diamond)showedhighestreductionpercent(81.70%)followedbyNeemextract(68.73%),Tobaccoextract(55.72%),Eucalyptusextract(50.66%)andthelowestwasresultedbyuntreatedcontrol(13.91%).Againstmitespopulationonbrinjalthefirstsprayresultsshowedthatchemicalcontrol(confidor)showedhighesteffect(98.19%)followedbyNeemextract(96.19%),Tobaccoextract(95.75%),Eucalyptusextract(86.86%)andleastpopulationwasrecordedinuntreatedcontrol(9.96%).Aftersecondspray,chemicalcontrol(Diamond)showedhighestreductionpercent(99.65%),followedbyNeemextract(98.33%),Tobaccoextract(92.85%),Eucalyptusextract(88.93%)andthelowestreductionpercentwasresultedbyuntreatedcontrol(9.14%)respectively.Chemicalcontrol(confidor/Diamond)showeditssuperiorityineffecttocombatsuckinginsectpestsstudiedinbrinjal,followedbyNeemextract,Tobaccoextract,Eucalyptusextractanduntreatedcontrolremainedtheleast.
