【 摘 要 】
ThepresentstudyshowsthebulkmineralogicalcompositionoftheBaraFormationfromLakhraanticline,neartoLakhracoalfieldareaoftheSindhprovinceofPakistan.Thepetrography,scanningelectronmicroscopeandX-raydiffractommeterwereusedforthedetailedmineralogicalinvestigations.Quartz,feldspars,hematite,gypsum,chloriteandgoethitemineralswereobtainedfromabovemethods.Quartz,feldsparandchloritemineralsindicatedthatthesedimentsweretransportedfromigneousandmetamorphicrocksandthehematiteandgoethiteindicatedthecontinentalenvironmentforthestudiedformation.MineralogicalinvestigationoftheBaraFormationindicatesthatthesedimentsweresuppliedfromtheIgneousandmetamorphicrockterrane.ItcanbesaidthattheBaraformationsedimentsweresuppliedfromtheIgneousandmetamorphiccomplexwhichisexposedinthesoutheasternpartofthestudiedarea.
