ArevisionofthelateMississippian(lateViséan-earlySerpukhovian)cyanobacterialandalgalassemblagesofMontagneNoire(Aude-Hérault,France)isundertaken,mainlybasedonnewdatarecentlyobtainedwiththeforaminiferalassemblagesofthisarea.Inthistaxonomiccontribution,onetribeBorlatellaetrib.nov.istranslated,andthreenewgeneraOrtonellopsisgen.nov.,Anchisolenoporagen.nov.andNeoradiosphaeroporellagen.nov.,andfournewspeciesofalgaearedescribed:Ortonellopsislaxagen.etsp.nov.,Anatoliporamacroporelloideasp.nov.,Paraepimastoporasomervilleisp.nov.,andNeoradiosphaeroporellaapricagen.etsp.nov.IntheAlgospongia(incertaesedisalgae),thegeneraZidella,Valuzieriaemend.hereinandAsteroaoujgaliaarerevised.MostofthespeciesappeartoberestrictedtothelatestViséan-earlySerpukhovianintervalintheMontagneNoire,andthus,theyhavetobeinvestigatedincoevalTethyanandUralianareasfortheirpossiblebiostratigraphicimportance.
