Radnoriaguyisp.nov.fromthemiddleBerounian(upperSandbian/lowerKatian,UpperOrdovician)oftheCabeccedil;odoPeaoFormation,CentralPortugalisthebestpreservedandmostcompletelyknownOrdovicianspeciesofthegenus,andthestratigraphicallyearliestknownfromEuropeanperi-Gondwana.Untilnow,theoldestrecordofthegenuswasfromtheupperSandbian?/lowerKatianofSouthChina.ThenewPortugueserecordshedsnewlightonourunderstandingofthebiogeographyofRadnoria,suggestingthepossibilityofasouthernhigh-latitudeGondwananoriginforthegenus.
