On the occurrence of Ctenocheles (Decapoda, Axiidea, Ctenochelidae) in the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin

【 摘 要 】

Becauseofclosemorphologicalaffinities,fossilchelipedfragmentsoftheghostshrimpCtenocheles(Decapoda,Axiidea,Ctenochelidae)canbeeasilymisidentifiedasremainsofdifferentdecapodcrustaceantaxa.Re-examinationoftheCretaceousdecapodsdepositedintheNationalMuseuminPraguerevealedthatallsupposedspecimensofthelobstergenusOncopareiafoundintheMiddleConiaciancalcareousclaystonesoftheBřeznoFormation,includingoneoftheFritsch’soriginalspecimensofStenochelesparvulus,actuallybelongtoCtenocheles.Thismaterialtogetherwithnewlycollectedspecimensfromthesamelocality,allowedforerectionofanewspecies,Ctenochelesfritschi.Itsmajorchelapossessesaserratedischiumandovoid,unarmedmerus;therefore,itisconsideredacloserelativeoftheextantC.colliniandC.maorianus.Ctenochelesfritschisp.nov.representsthefirstreportontheoccurrenceofthegenusfromtheBohemianCretaceousBasin.ItisoneoftheoldestrecordsofCtenochelesandsimultaneouslyoneofthebestpreservedfossilsofthegenusreportedtodate.ConfusingtaxonomyofS.parvulusisreviewedandshortlydiscussed.
