TherelativelyrichsabellidandserpulidpolychaeteoryctocenosesofthehemipelagicUpperTuronianoftheBohemianCretaceousBasinareherebyrevised.SevenspeciesfromsixgenerawereidentifiedanddescribedfromthepresentkeylocalityofÚpohlavynearLovosice.OngoingrevisionofpreviouslypublishedliteratureaswellastherecentlycollectedmaterialresultedineightpolychaetespeciesfromsevengenerabeingidentifiedfromthehemipelagicLateTuroniansedimentsofthebasin:sabellidsGlomerulaplexus(J.deC.Sowerby),G.lombricus(Defrance)andserpulidsPyrgopolon(Septenaria)macropus(J.deC.Sowerby),Neovermiliaampullacea(J.deC.Sowerby),Dorsoserpulawegneri(Jäger),Serpula?(Cementula?)biplicata(Reuss),JosephellasubanulataRegenhardtandNeomicrorbiscrenatostriatus(MünsterinGoldfuss)withthesubspeciesN.c.crenatostriatus.DatagainedfromtheÚpohlavyquarryallowsusnotonlytoaccomplishtherevisionpresentedhere,butalsodeepenourknowledgeoflifestrategiesandpaleoecologyofthetubiculouspolychaeteslivinginsoftbottomconditionsofashallow,epicontinentalsea.AmongotherfindingsthestrongtendencytowardsacrypticmodeoflifeinNeovermiliaampullaceaisdiscussedandanextraordinarilywellpreservedsampleofGlomerulaplexusreefletsnetworkisdocumented.TwogroupswithdifferentecologicalamplitudehavebeenrecognisedintheÚpohlavypolychaetecommunities.
