【 摘 要 】

TheUpperCenomaniantoLowerTuronianammonoidfaunaoftheSaxonianCretaceous(ElbtalGroup,Saxony,Germany)hasbeenrevisedbasedonthestudyof270specimenshostedintheMuseumfürMineralogieundGeologie(MMG)oftheSenckenbergNaturhistorischeSammlungenDresden.Intotal,12specieshavebeenidentifiedand,basedonthisrevision,anumberofammonoidsarenowreportedand/orillustratedforthefirsttimefromtheElbtalGroupofSaxony:Euomphalocerasseptemseriatum,Neocardiocerasjuddiibarroisi,Watinocerascoloradoense,Spathites(Jeanrogericeras)reveliereanus,SciponocerasgracileandScaphitesequalis.ThestudydemonstratedthepresenceofallUpperCenomanianandLowerTuronianstandardammonitebiozonesinthelithostratigraphicsuccessionofthelowerElbtalGroup:thelowerUpperCenomanianCalycocerasnaviculareZone(representedbytheOberhäslichFormation),themid-andupperUpperCenomanianMetoicocerasgeslinianumandNeocardiocerasjuddiizones(representedbytheDölzschenFormation),andtheLowerTuronianWatinocerascoloradoenseandMammitesnodosoideszones(representedbytheBrießnitzFormation).TheammonoidfaunafromtheSaxonianCretaceousisdominatedbystronglyornamentedandwidelydistributedAcanthoceratidae.
