【 摘 要 】
LittleisknowntodateregardingtheorganismsthatcolonizedtheleavesofCarboniferousplants.Thisisduetoanumberoffactors,includinghowtheleaveswerepreserved,preparedforexamination,andanalyzed.Nevertheless,itisbecomingincreasinglyclearthatCarboniferousleaveswerehabitatsforawidevarietyoffungi.ThispaperdescribesfungalremainsincordaiteleavesfromtheUpperPennsylvanianGrand-CroixchertsinFrance.Withintheintercellularsystemofthemesophylloccurintercalaryandterminalswellingsproducedfromanelaboratesystemoftenuoushyphae/filaments,aswellasisolatedputative(zoo-)sporangiaandclustersofsmallunicells.Otherfungalremainsoccurinbundlesheathcells.Althoughthesystematicaffinitiesofthefungicurrentlyremainunknown,documentingtheirexistencecontributestoourunderstandingofthemultiplelevelsofbiologicalassociationandinteractionthatshapedtheCarboniferousterrestrialecosystems.
