【 摘 要 】
QuarryingacrossapotentialGSSPofthebaseofCambrianStage5/Series3attheWuliu-ZengjianyansectioninsouthChinaindicatesasignificantchangeintrilobiteandbrachiopodfaunas.TheWuliuQuarryspansapproximately4.5macrossthepotentialboundary,whichistheFADofOryctocephalusindicus(Reed,1910)intheWuliu-ZengjiayansectionoftheKailiFormation.TrilobitetaxafoundconsistofonePagetia,oneRedlichia,oneBurlingia,twoOlenoides,elevenoryctocephalid,andsevenptychopariidspecies.Non-trilobitetaxafoundintheWuliuQuarry,butnotdescribedinthispublication,includetubularshells,inarticulateandarticulatebrachiopods,molluscs,echinodermplates,sponges,algae,acritarchs,andtracefossils.Collectedspecimensdisplaybothflattening,secondarycalcitepreservation,andtectonicdistortion.Manyofthespecieshavepreviouslybeenbasedonlengthtowidthratios.Giventherangeofmorphologiesdemonstratedinthesecollections,severalpreviouslynamedspecieshavebeensynonymized.DetailedcollectionsfromtheWuliuQuarryshowthatthefaunasoftheOvatoryctocaracf.granulata-BathyonotusholopygusandtheO.indicuszoneschangedina20cm,relativelybarreninterval.ThisfaunalturnoverdoesnotcoincidewithalithologicchangeandsuggeststhatthesectionwouldbeagoodlocationfortheGSSPofthebaseofCambrianStage5/Series3.
