【 摘 要 】

Thepresentarticlere-evaluatestherecordofEarlyMioceneplantmegafossilsintheupperpartoftheMostFormation(LibkoviceandLomMembers)accordingtocurrenttaxonomy,andappliestheresultstophytostratigraphicalcorrelation.Thecharacteristicsoftheflorashavebeenstudied,andpalaeovegetationhasbeenreconstructedbasedonleaf,fruit,andseedassemblagesforthesitesstudiedwithinthebasin.Newmethodsbasedonfoliarphysiognomy(CLAMP)havebeenusedforobtainingpalaeoclimaticestimates,andarecorrelatedwithadditionalstudiesofCO2concentration.ClimaticfluctuationsareindicatedbychangingplantspectraduringthedepositionoftheLibkoviceMember.ThepositionoftheMioceneclimaticoptimumhasbeenlocatedintheupperpartoftheLibkoviceMember,andisshowntobeoflateEarlyMioceneage.Onthatbasis,thislevelhasbeencorrelatedwithadjacentregions(e.g.,theCyprisFormationoftheChebBasin,theUpperCoalSeamoftheHrádekpartoftheŽitava/ZittauBasin).
