Therehasbeenconsiderablerecentdebateontheethicsofhumanenhancement.Anumberofprominentauthorshavebeenconcernedaboutorcriticaloftheuseoftechnologytoalterorenhancehumanbeings.Iwanttoarguethatfarfrombeingmerelypermissible,wehaveamoralobligationormoralreasontoenhanceourselvesandourchildren.Indeed,wehavethesamekindofobligationaswehavetotreatandpreventdisease.Notonlycanweenhance,weshouldenhance.
