Theauthors,basedonthedialogueestablishedfromtheirexperiencesinfieldworkintheDominicanRepublicandCuba,delveintothecomplexproceduresaimedatbuildingbothdifferenceandpower.Livingtheirrelationshipwith‘theothers’fromtheirwayofunderstandingethnographicpractice,placethemwithinbothcontextsas‘desirable’subjects;subjectsthatcreate‘possibilities’even‘dreams’.Thismakesthemawareoftheracializationandsexualizationoftheirownbodies,whichbearmeaningsthatspeakaboutdecoloniality,forcingthemtowonderabouthowtoreproducethepowerrelationshipswithintheethnographicpractice.
