【 摘 要 】
ThisarticlereviewstheculturalconstructionoftranssexualityinSpainfromthedemocratictransitiontothepresent.Thepaperdefinesthreehistoricperiods(pre-gay,gay,andpost-gay)andshowshowtranssexualityandtransgenderhavebeenconstruedthroughouteachofthem.ThepaperaimstoanalysethesocialandidentitytransformationsthatunfoldinSpaininrelationtotransgenderbyfocusingontranssexuality.Thecategoriesoftransvestitesandoperatedtransvestiteswerehegemonicinthepre-gayperiod,whereasthecategoryoftranssexualwashegemonicoverthewholegayperiod.Bycontrast,inthecurrentpost-gayperiod,thecategoryoftransgenderisaconceptualanddiscursivenoveltythatincludesand,atthesametime,goesbeyondthepreviouscategories.Thearticlefocusesontranssexualwomen.
