【 摘 要 】
Objective:ToinvestigatetheseroprevalenceandsalivarysheddingofherpesvirusesinBS.Method:ThelevelsofspecificimmunoglobulinGinsixdifferentherpesvirusesinserumsamplescollectedfrom54BS,28healthycontrols(HC),and7recurrentaphthousstomatitis(RAS)patientswereinvestigated.Salivaryviralloadwasalsoquantifiedforthesevirusesinmatchedsalivasamplesusingquantitativereal-timepolymerasechainreaction.Results:TheBShadlowercytomegalovirus(CMV)IgGlevelincomparisontoHC(p=0.0226)andRAS(p=0.0450).TherewasstatisticallysignificanthighersalivarysheddingofEpstein-Barrvirus(EBV)inBSincomparisontoHC(p=0.0052),butnotRAS(p=0.3318).Conclusions:AhighEBVsheddingwasobservedinbothBSandRASandalowerlevelofCMVIgGwasobservedinBSonly.ThereasonfortheobservedlowerlevelofCMVIgGinBSisnotclear.However,oneexplanationmightbeadefectinthecross-talkbetweeninnateandadaptiveimmuneresponseswhichwassuggestedbyapreviouslydescribeddefectinthetoll-likereceptor1and2heterodimerformationandfunction,thisbeingtheinitialreceptorsensingofCMV.Keywords:Beh莽et#039;ssyndrome;herpes;oralmucosa;saliva(Published:5June2015)Citation:JournalofOralMicrobiology2015,7:27156-http://dx.doi.org/10.3402/jom.v7.27156
