【 摘 要 】

Moreandmorecancerpatientsreceivesurgeryandchronicpaincontrol.Cell-mediatedimmunosuppressionfromsurgicalstressrendersperioperativeperiodavulnerableperiodfortumormetastasis.Retrospectivestudiessuggestthatregionalanesthesiareducestheriskoftumormetastasisandrecurrence.Thisbenefitmaybeduetotheattenuationofimmunosuppressionbyregionalanesthesia.Ontheotherhand,accumulatingevidencepointstoadirectroleofanestheticsintumorprogression.Avarietyofmalignanciesexhibitincreasedactivityofvoltage-gatedsodiumchannels.Blockadeofthesechannelsbylocalanestheticsmayhelpinhibittumorprogression.Opioidspromoteangiogenesis,cancercellproliferationandmetastasis.Itwillbeinterestingtoexaminethetherapeuticpotentialofperipheralopioidantagonistsagainstmalignancy.Volatileanestheticsareorgan-protectiveagainsthypoxia,however;thisveryprotectivemechanismmayleadtotumorgrowthandpoorprognosis.Inthisreview,weexaminethedirecteffectsofanestheticsintumorprogressioninhopethatathoroughunderstandingwillhelptoselecttheoptimalanestheticregimensforbetteroutcomesincancerpatients.(IJPPP1212006)
