Erymidlobsters(Crustacea,Decapoda,Erymidae)arerelativelycommonandabundantinJurassicrocks(c.70species)butarefarlesscommonintheEarlyCretaceouswithabout20speciesonlylistedinEurope,NorthAmerica,SouthAmerica,Australia,Antarctic,Japan,andMadagascar.AstudyofthetwelvespeciesoferymidlobstersfromtheEarlyCretaceousofEurope(France,UnitedKingdom)isherepresented.Basedonnewobservations,theconceptsofsomeerymidgeneraareupdatedandnewdiagnosesareproposedforErymaMeyer,1840,EnoploclytiaM'Coy,1849,PalaeastacusBell,1850,PustulinaQuenstedt,1857,andStenodactylinaBeurlen,1928,includingcarapacegroovepattern,firstpereiopodsandalsoanewstructure-thepost-orbitalarea-locatedinfrontofthecephalicregion.ThenewgenusTethysastacusn.gen.iserectedwithTethysastacustithoniusn.comb.(Valanginian,France)astypespecies.Fivenewspeciesaredescribed:Erymavocontiin.sp.(Albian,France),Enoploclytiaaugustobonaen.sp.(Barremian,France),Enoploclytiagigantean.sp.(Albian,Texas),Pustulinaoccitanan.sp.(Berriasian,France),andPustulinacolossean.sp.(Hauterivian,France).
