AnewgenusandspeciesofFlatidaeplanthoppers,Priscoflatasubvexan.gen.,n.sp.,isdescribedhereonthebasisoftegmenfromthePaleoceneofNorthernTibet.ThetegminalfeaturesofthisfossilanditsimportanceforclassificationandphylogeneticstudieswithinFlatidaearegiven.Thecomparisonofthisfossilandotherextantandextinctflatids,itssystematicposition,itsbiogeographicandevolutionarysignificancearediscussed.“Ormenis”devinctaCockerell,1926fromtheEoceneofArgentinaisplacedinFulgoroideaincertaesedis.
