【 摘 要 】
OriocrassatellaEtheridgeJr.,1907isalongrangecrassatellidbivalvegenuswellrecognizedinshallowwatersofepeiricseasthroughouttheupperpartofPaleozoic.ThefirstoccurrencesofthisgenusarerecordedinthesedimentarysuccessionsoftheGondwana,bothinAustraliaandSouthAmerica.However,thegeographicandagedistributionofOriocrassatellainLateMississippiandepositsofAustraliaandArgentinamayindicateanearliestViseanorevenapre-Viseanoriginforthegenus.FollowingitsorigininEarlyCarboniferousacomplexpaleobiogeographichistoryfromSoutherntoNorthernHemispheretookplaceinthePermian.DuringitsinitialdispersalphasefromLateCarboniferoustotheEarlyPermianthegenusthrivedincoldwaterenvironmentsassociatedtotheLatePaleozoicGondwanaglaciation.Shallow-waterbottomsofthewarmwatersofthecentralGondwanafringeandLaurussiawerecolonizedbyOriocrassatellaonlyduringEarlyPermiantimeswhenthegenusbecamecosmopolitan.Anewspeciesofthisgenusisdescribedherein,Oriocrassatellapiauiensisn.sp.,recordedfromthePiauíFormation,PennsylvanianoftheParnaíbaBasin.Thisnewspeciesmayrepresentanearlyadaptationtowarmwaters.However,basedonavailabledata,speciesofthisgenusseemtohaveadapteddefinitelytowarmwaterenvironmentsprobablyrelatedtheLatePennsylvanianinterglacialphases.Inthesephases,climaticbarrierwereinterruptedallowingthefaunalinterchangeandlarvaldispersionfollowingaSouthtoNorthmigrationroutethroughtheeasternmarginsofGondwanaandtheeasternPaleotethys.
