Two-dimensionalwater-wavesofpermanentshapewithconstantpropagationspeedareconsideredundertheassumptionthatthegravityisneglectedandonlythesurfacetensionistakenintoaccount.Crapper'ssolutions,whichareexactsolutionsofthegoverningequations,areprovedtobeuniqueamongthosewhichsatisfyacertainpositivityproperty.
