ThenewFranco-Brazilianwebsite“Saint-Hilairevirtualherbarium”offersdynamiconlineconsultationofallspecimensandmanuscriptsofthenaturalistAugustedeSaint-Hilaire,providinglinksbetweenspecimenimagesandassociatedtextualdata,includingnotesavailableinhisfieldbooks.ThistoolaimsatfacilitatingtheworkoftaxonomyandsystematicbotanyandallowingamoreaccuratereconstructionoftheroutesandtimeframeofSaint-Hilaire'sexploration.AllspecimensarebeingdigitizedbytheParisherbarium(P)andaddedonline.ThesystemwillalsoofferSaint-Hilaire'smajorpublicationsonline.ThenomenclatureanddeterminationsareautomaticallyupdatedthroughdynamiclinkstotheSONNERAT/MNHNdatabase.Inthispaper,weproposemoreoverastandardforthecorrectcitationofSaint-Hilairespecimens.
