Radiation hydrodynamic simulations of line-driven disk winds for ultra-fast outflows

【 摘 要 】

Usingtwo-dimensionalradiationhydrodynamicsimulations,weinvestigatetheoriginoftheultra-fastoutflows(UFOs)thatareoftenobservedinluminousactivegalacticnuclei(AGNs).Wefoundthattheradiationforceduetothespectrallinesgeneratesstrongwinds(line-drivendiskwinds)thatarelaunchedfromtheinnerregionofaccretiondisks(∼30Schwarzschildradii).Awiderangeofblackholemasses(MBH)andEddingtonratios(ε)wasinvestigatedtostudytheconditionscausingtheline-drivenwinds.ForMBH=106–109 M⊙andε=0.1–0.7,funnel-shapeddiskwindsappear,inwhichdensematterisacceleratedoutwardwithanopeningangleof70°–80°andwith10%ofthespeedoflight.Ifweobservethewindalongitsdirection,thevelocity,thecolumndensity,andtheionizationstateareconsistentwiththoseoftheobservedUFOs.AslongasobscurationbythetorusdoesnotaffecttheobservationofX-raybands,theUFOscouldbestatisticallyobservedinabout13%–28%oftheluminousAGNs,whichisnotinconsistentwiththeobservedratio(∼40%).WealsofoundthattheresultsareinsensitivetotheX-rayluminosityandthedensityofthedisksurface.Thus,wecanconcludethatUFOscouldexistinanyluminousAGNs,suchasnarrow-lineSeyfert1sandquasarswithεgt;0.1,withwhichfastline-drivenwindsareassociated.
