【 摘 要 】
Gamma-rayburstsaregenerallyconsideredtobetheresultofinternalshocksgeneratedinaninhomogeneousrelativisticoutflowthatarisesfromafireball.Insuchshocks,theFermiaccelerationofprotonsisnaturallyexpectedtobeatleastasefficientasthatofelectrons.Weinvestigatetheconsequencesofprotonaccelerationintheresidualthermalphotonfieldofafireball,especiallythoseontheemissionspectraofphotons.Incontrasttomostotherstudies,wedonotinvokeadirectelectronaccelerationinshockwaves.Weshowthattheresidualradiationfieldofthefireballcanignitethephotopionproductionandsubsequentcascade,andthatthephotonsemittedinthisprocessfurtherenhancethephoton-initiatedcascade.WefindthatFermi-acceleratedprotonswith$$gtrsim10^{13},mathrm{eV}$$efficientlybringtheirenergyintopionproductionandsubsequentphotonemission.Theparticlescascadingfromthepionsemitphotonsoverawideenergyrange.Thephotonsemittedfromelectron–positronpairsdistributecontinuouslyfromtheGeVrangedowntotheX-rayrange,whilemuonscanemitgamma-raysbysynchrotronradiationwithabreakataround1–10MeV.WealsodiscussseveralradiationprocesseswhichmaypossiblyproduceabreakfeatureintheMeVrange,asobservedinadditiontomuonsynchrotronradiation.
