【 摘 要 】
Wereportonaflare-upofwater-vapormaseremissioninaprototypicalultraluminousFIRgalaxywithanAGN,NGC6240.Thefluxdensityofthedetectedmaserlinewas$$approx0.1,mathrm{Jy}$$with$$mathit{FWHM}approx5,mathrm{km},mathrm{s}^{-1}$$,indicatinganapparentisotropicluminosityof$$approx100,{L}_{odot}$$atadistanceof100Mpc,whichistypicalforwatermegamasers.Themaserlinewasredshiftedby$$approx200,mathrm{km},mathrm{s}^{-1}$$relativetothesystemicvelocityofthegalaxy,whilenosystemic-velocityfeaturewasdetected.Thepreviouspossibledetectionorobservedupperlimitswereatalevellowerthanthefluxdensityinthepresentpaper,indicatingthatthewatermaserinNGC6240flaredupbymorethanafactorof5in2001.
