【 摘 要 】
Wehavedevelopedatransportable492GHztippingradiometertomeasuretheatmosphericopacityatpotentialsitesforfutureground-basedastronomicalobservationsinthesubmillimeter-waveband.Withthisradiometer,wemeasuredtheatmosphericopacityattwositesinnorthernChile,PampalaBola(elevation4800m)andRioFrio(elevation4100m),eachforafewdays.The492GHzopacitymostlyrangedfrom0.5to1.5duringthemeasurements.The220GHzopacitywasalsomeasuredatthesametime.The492GHzopacitycorrelateswellwiththe220GHzopacity,theratiobetweenthe492and220GHzopacitiesbeing21.2±0.4.Thisresultsupportsthestandardatmosphericmodel,andcanbeusedtoevaluatetheobservablefractionoftimeforsubmillimeter-waveobservationsonthebasisofthelong-term220GHzopacitydata.
