【 摘 要 】

Itisbelievedthatinmostanimalsonlythepaternalcentrosomeprovidesthedivisionpolesformitosisinzygotes.Thispaternalinheritanceofthecentrosomesdependsontheselectivelossofthematernalcentrosome.Inordertounderstandthemechanismofcentrosomeinheritance,thebehaviorofallmaternalcentrosomes/centrioleswasinvestigatedthroughoutthemeioticandmitoticcyclesbyusingstarfisheggsthathadpolarbody(PB)formationsuppressed.Instarfishoocytes,thecentriolesdonotduplicateduringmeiosisII.Hence,eachcentrosomeofthemeiosisIIspindlehasonlyonecentriole,whereasinmeiosisI,eachhasapairofcentrioles.WhentwopairsofmeiosisIcentrioleswereretainedinthecytoplasmofoocytesbycompletesuppressionofPBextrusion,theyseparatedintofoursinglecentriolesinmeiosisII.However,aftercompletionofthemeioticprocess,onlytwoofthefoursinglecentrioleswerefoundinadditiontothepronucleus.WhenthetwosinglecentriolesofameiosisIIspindlewereretainedintheoocytecytoplasmbysuppressingtheextrusionofthesecondPB,onlyonecentriolewasfoundwiththepronucleusafterthecompletionofthemeioticprocess.WhenthesePB-suppressedeggswereartificiallyactivatedtodrivethemitoticcycles,allthesurvivingsinglecentriolesduplicatedrepeatedlytoformpairsofcentrioles,whichcouldorganizemitoticspindles.Theseresultsindicatethatthematernalcentriolesarenotequivalentintheirintrinsicstabilityandreproductivecapacity.ThecentrosomeswiththereproductivecentriolesareselectivelycastoffintothePBs,resultinginthematureegginheritinganonreproductivecentriole,whichwoulddegradeshortlyafterthecompletionofmeiosis.
