【 摘 要 】
CellsofEuplotescrassuscanmateduringtheentireextentofG1aswellintheveryearlymacronuclearSphase.Anarresttocellcyclingthatoccursduringmatingistriggeredbytheciliaryagglutinationthattakesplacebetweencomplementarycells,afterawaitingperiodandbeforethecellbodiesfuseintoconjugalpairs.Cyclingarrestisreversible.SexuallydevelopingcellsreturnedtonutrientconditionsareabletoreinitiatemacronuclearDNAsynthesis,althoughafteralagperiod.Thesynchronousreinitiationofsynthesisisinterpretedasaconsequenceofreprogrammingeventsthatoccurascellsswitchfromthevegetativetothesexualstageofthelifecycle.
