【 摘 要 】

TherelationshipbetweenreedPhragmitesaustraliscoverofditchesandhabitatusebymarshlandbirdswasstudiedinanexperimentalareaoftheOostvaardersplassennaturereserveinTheNetherlands.WatertableandgrazingbycattleandhorseshadanimportantimpactonthedevelopmentofP.australisinditchesandpools,resultinginthreedifferenttypesofhabitat:deepopenwater,shallowopenwaterandshallowwaterwithP.australisvegetation.Shallowwaterbodieswithareedcoveroflessthan10%weremostfrequentlyvisitedbyforagingEurasianSpoonbillPlatalealeucorodia,SmewMergellusalbellus,herons,ducks,wadersandrails.Breedinggrebesandmarshlandpasserines,however,preferredpartswithmorereedcover.Itisconcludedthatthecreationofshallowwaterbodies,togetherwithadjustedwatertablemanagementandgrazingpressurearesuitabletoolsforrestoringhabitatspreferredbymarshlandbirds.
