【 摘 要 】

Weinvestigatedseasonalvariationinhaematologicalindicesandimmunefunctioninthenon-migratoryGreatTitParusmajoroveracompleteannualcycle.Thehaematocritvalueshowedamarkedreductioninspringandsummer,reachingalowestvalueduringmoult,afterwhichitincreasedtoreachamaximuminwinterandspring.Thepeakintheheterophiltolymphocyteratio(H/L)duringJulyindicatedthatGreatTitswerethemoststressedduringthefirsthalfofthemoultingperiod.TheincreaseinheterophilsandH/Lratio,concurrentwithareducednumberoflymphocytesduringthebreedingseason,probablyreflectedthecostofreproductionintermsofphysiologicalstressandimmunesuppression.AfterbreedingthenumberofheterophilsandtheH/Lratiodecreased,reachingalowestvalueduringwinter.Theconcentrationofimmunoglobulinsfollowedtheseasonalpatterninthenumberofheterophils,thoughhighestvaluesoccurredsomewhatlater,inJuly–Septemberduringthesecondpartofthemoultingperiod,Ourobservationsindicatedlargedifferencesinactivitythroughouttheyearofdifferentcomponentsoftheimmunesystem,Thissuggestsdifferencesinfunctionamongthecomponentsandpossiblydifferencesinsusceptibilitytostress,parasitismandhormonesduringtheannualcycle.Whenjuvenilesbecameindependentoftheirparents,theimmunoglobulinconcentrationincreased,whereasotherimmunemeasuresdidnotshowasignificantchange.Thisindicatesarapidincreaseofatleastonecomponentoftheimmunesystemaftertheyoungfledge.
