【 摘 要 】

Springstagingisanimportantperiodinfluencingreproductivesuccessformigratorybirds.Duringthisperiod,femalegeesemustaccumulatereservesforsubsequentmigration,egglayingandincubation.Theymayincreasefeedingopportunitiesbybeingguardedbydominantmalesprotectingalargefeedingareaandprovidingfeedingtime,and/orhavingthemselvesahighdominancestatus.UsingpairedadultsofDark-belliedBrentGeeseBrantabernicla,wetestedifmaleshadhigherdominancescoresthanfemales,iflargerindividualshadhigherdominancescoresthansmalleronesandifdominanceranksofpairedpartnerswerecorrelated.Ourresultssupportedthefirstandthirdpredictionswhile,oncecontrolledbysex,bodysizewasnotcorrelatedwithadultdominancestatus.
