【 摘 要 】
Thestabilityofslopesisamajorconcerninthefieldofgeotechnicalengineering.Usuallytwo-dimensionalanalysesbasedonlimitequilibriummethodareimplementedinthisfieldduetotheirsimplicityandeffectiveness.Sincethesemethodsignoredthefeaturesofthethirddimensionofslopes,three-dimensionalanalyseshavedevelopedtoremovethisshortcoming.However,somelimitationsstillexistintheapplicationofthree-dimensionalmethods.Mostofthesemethodsassumeaplaneofsymmetryfortheslope.Moreover,theinternalforcesofslidingmassarelargelysimplifiedorignoredintheequationsoffactorofsafety.Inaddition,theshapeofslipisusuallysimplifiedorlimitedbythesemethods.Thementionedlimitationsrestricttheapplicationsofthree-dimensionalmethodsinpractice.Thepresentpapermadeacriticalreviewontheapplicationsandlimitationsofexistingthree-dimensionalslopestabilityanalysesbasedonlimitequilibriummethod.
