References(6)Cited-By(9)The recirculating flow characteristics in a confined space with axisymmetric sudden expansion followed by a conical contraction section were measured by means of an electrochemical method. Integral scales of space correlation in both longitudinal and circumferential directions were obtained. Also, the recirculating velocity of a large eddy was determined from the measurement of space-time correlation. Experimental results confirmed that there exists a large recirculating eddy near the wall of test chambers.
