【 摘 要 】
In the criminal investigation field, images are the principal forms for investigation and for probingcrime detection. The imaging science applied in criminal investigation is face detection,surveillance camera imaging, and crime scene analysis. Digital imaging succors imagemanipulation, alteration and enhancement techniques. The traditional methodologies enhance thegiven image by improving the local or global components of the image. It proves a debacle sinceit engages noise amplification, block discontinuities, colour mismatch, edge distortion andcheckerboard effects thereby limiting image processing tasks. To the same degree ofenhancement, spurned artefacts are given rise. Thus to balance the global and local factors ofthe image and to weed out the tenebrous components; fusion of multiple alike images areperformed to produce a meliorated image. The fusion is done by fusing a pyramid constructedimage and a wavelet transformed image. The pyramid image and the wavelet transformed imageare then fused through to afford a revealing image for better perception by the human visualsystem. The experimental results show that our proposed fusion scheme is effective and thefusion is applied over a surveillance camera image grab.
