【 摘 要 】

The oral tales of Yemen are a very rich, but fragile heritage. They raise an increasing interest among the researchers and translators, in Yemen and abroad. Fāṭima al-Bayḍānī, who created in 2006 the Mīl al-Dhahab (“the Kohl stick”) for the preservation of the oral literature of the children and mothers, gathered an outstanding amount of tales in many governorates. The Ecole Normale Supérieure tranlation workshop (Paris) gathered five tales from various regions, which feature animals as main characters.
