【 摘 要 】

Freeze-dried fibers of smooth muscle from Taenia coli were used to determine the concentration of calmodulin responsible for contraction. About 10% of the total intracellular calmodulin (12.6 μmol/kg wet wt) is directly involved in initiation of smooth muscle contraction.
