【 摘 要 】

a, b-Unsaturated aldehydes and ketones are regioselectively reduced to the corresponding allylic alcohols with NaBH4/Dowex1-x8 system in THF at room temperature. This system is also efficient for the conversion of a-diketones and acyloins to the vicinal diols in refluxing THF.
