【 摘 要 】
Characterization of genetic tolerance to herbicides is an additional tool in identifying genes related to resistance in plant breeding programs. Thus, the objectives of this research were: to determine the genetic variability in wheat, white and black oat genotypes for tolerance to four ALS-inhibiting herbicides; to identify herbicides that are selective to wheat and oat cultivars; and to identify tolerant genotypes to use in wheat and oat breeding programs at the Universidade Federal de Pelotas. The results showed the existence of genetic variability in wheat for tolerance to ALS-inhibiting herbicides. Penoxsulam had no effect on dry matter production in the evaluated wheat and oat genotypes. Wheat genotypes ICA 7, BRS 208, CD 111, white oat (Albasul) and black oat (Agrozebu) showed tolerance to bispyribac-sodium and penoxsulam. Black oat (Agrozebu), also showed tolerance to metsulfuron-methyl.
