【 摘 要 】
The paper proposes a new delay dependent stability criterion for linear systems with time varying delays, using Wirtinger’s inequality. The objective of the paper is to propose a novel stability condition by incorporating the strength of the recently reported Wirtinger’s inequality which gives superior results. The proposed stability criterion provides less conservative estimate of system stability with improved upper delay bounds. With an appropriate Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional and using the Wirtinger’s inequality, the stability criterion for time varying delays has been derived in terms of Linear Matrix Inequalities. The proposed stability criterion has been applied on standard example problems. The results prove the efficacy of the proposed criterion with reduced conservatism over the existing results in the literature.
