【 摘 要 】
Favorable environments are contexts that make the acquisition of the segment treated easier. They can be analyzed under the following aspects: tonicity, preceding context and following vowel. This case report had the aim to analyze the influence of linguistic variables (favorable environment) at the treatment of a patient suffering from phonological disorder. A male patient, aged 6:8 at the beginning of the treatment, treated by the Model ABAB-Withdrawal and Multiple Probes participated in this study. Pre and post-treatment speech data and the Basic Target Proof of the first treatment cycle were analyzed. The acquisitions regarding the treatment target the non-lateral liquid /r/ and the favorable environments to the acquisition regarding tonicity and contexts (preceding and following) were analyzed in the target words selected for the therapy. It was observed that the /r/, in the select target words, was not found in more favorable environments; in general, it was found in neutral or less favorable environments. However, generalization was verified concerning the non-lateral liquid /r/ acquisition in medial onset, and the phoneme production in the select target words was effective, with emphasis to the production of the words [ba´rata], [ko´ruZa] and [mo´rãgu], which had a larger number of occurrences.
