【 摘 要 】
QuaternaryNi 50 Fe x Mn 30-x Ga 20 ( x= 2.5, 5, and 15) andNi 45 Fe 5 Mn 30 Ga 20 alloys based on modification of ferromagnetic shape memory alloy ternaryNi 50 Mn 30 Ga 20 composition prepared by vacuum arc melting and subsequent heat-treatment were investigated to understand the effect of varyingFe -content inNi - Fe - Mn - Gaalloys. With increasingFe -content, saturation magnetisation and Curie temperature increased, however martensite transformation temperature did not show a systematic variation. The 57 FeMossbauer spectra showed three distinct sub-spectra depending upon the site occupancy byFe -atoms. The results are explained with site selection byFe -atom in parent L21 lattice.
