【 摘 要 】
Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM) has attained its reputationdue to the capability of rapidly fabricating prototypes from concept design toreal parts in shorter time and lower cost than traditional manufacturingprocesses. This study sheds light on the dynamic mechanical properties ofPolyphenylsulfone (PPSF) material fabricated by FDM additive manufacturingprocess considering the effect of its various process parameters. Three majorFDM process parameters are considered in this study, namely, raster angle, raster width and build style. Dynamic MechanicalAnalysis is carried out with sweeping temperature at three different fixedfrequencies, e.g., 1 Hz, 50 Hz and 100 Hz. Taguchi method is employed for theoptimization of process parameters towards achieving better damping properties.Experimental results such as maximum storage modulus, maximum loss modulus, peakof Tan Delta and maximum complex viscosity are captured and the effects ofprocess parameters on these damping properties of PPSF samples areinvestigated.
