【 摘 要 】
Problem statement: Few studies have tested the indirect effects of dispositional factorsincluding perfectionism and locus of control on job satisfaction through work-family conflict.Approach: This study examined the indirect effects of perfectionism and locus of control on jobsatisfaction through work-family conflict. The sample consisted of 159 single mother employees. Datawere gathered using self-administered questionnaires. The data were analyzed using structural equationmodeling procedure to determine if the hypothesized model fit the data. Results: The results showedthat perfectionism and locus of control were significantly related to work-family conflict and thatwork-family conflict in turn was related to job satisfaction. The results support the indirect pathbetween locus of control and job satisfaction through work-family conflict. The indirect path betweenmaladaptive perfectionism and job satisfaction through work-family conflict was also supported. Conclusion: This study establishes the presence of indirect effects of maladaptive perfectionism andinternal locus of control on job satisfaction through work-family conflict and verifies that maladaptiveperfectionism and internal locus of control could result in work-family conflict which couldconsequently lead to a reduction in job satisfaction.
