【 摘 要 】

Colonna's capsular arthroplasty indicated to treat congenital hip dysplasia in human being was modified for standardization into hip joint of dogs as a previous study to hip dysplasia treatment. Eight healthy dogs, i.e. with no hip pathology, were evaluated clinically and radiologically before and after surgical procedures. The dogs were euthanasied after a variable period of observation and studies of gross and microscopic pathology of the tissues were done. The surgical technique consisted of a cranio dorsal approach of the joint, deepening of the acetabulum, coating of the femoral head with homologous pericardium, reconstitution of the articular capsule and structures approached. The period of functional recovery varied from 20 to 45 days. From the obtained results it is concluded that the Colonna's capsular arthroplasty standardized for hip joint of dogs improve the articular congruency.
