【 摘 要 】
With the objective of obtaining better performance of beef cattle compared to purebred animals, or those from industrial Taurus-Zebu breeding, a research is being developed in Goiás State, Brazil, to study the results of Tabapuã and Standard Nelore breeding, product called Tabanel, and the racial characterization of their descendants. The research consists of evaluating the results of three successive generations. The females obtained from Tabapuã and Nelore breeding, first generation, will be bred with pure males from both breeds. The generate progeny, second generation, will be breed among themselves, which will generate the third generation. The traditional methods of reproduction, videolaparoscopy to collect oocytes in young females and the in vitro fertilization will be utilized to obtain the descendants. A genetic evaluation of the animals on the three generations will be done by using adequate statistic procedures for the productive and reproductive traits, serial weights, fertility, fitness and precocity, also phenotypic evaluations of conformation, docility, musculature and carcass finishing. The continuation of the research is motivated by obtaining animals with adequate weights for ages and proper phenotypic characteristics observed in pilot study, without any special food or medical supplements. Four hundred cows involved in this work were registered on the Brazilian Association of Zebu Breeders (ABCZ).
