【 摘 要 】

The professional of information, in the present case the librarian, needs to change his/her paradigm. The society of information has been getting consolidated in Brazil and demands a professional with modern characteristics, capacities, and abilities concerning his/her role in the working market. Socio-economic perspectives in the of this century regarding the librarian are. At least, interesting, since information is the work input of drivers professionals and has contributed in the development of organizations and nations.
