【 摘 要 】

The aim of this work was to study the effect of different concentrations of indolbutyric acid (IBA) in the in vitro rooting of kiwi (Actinidia deliciosa), cv. Hayward. Axillary shoots with one pair of leaves were used as explants. The base of the shoots were dipped in IBA solution with the following concentrations: 0, 10, 20 and 40mg/l. The explants remained in this solution for 5 seconds, 1, 2 and 4 hours. After being treated, the shoots were cultured in a half strength MS medium, supplied with sucrose, myo-inositol and agar. IBA had no positive effect on the number and length of primary roots. It was observed an excessivo callus formation and deformed shoots of explants treated for 4 hours and with high IBA concentrations. The data demonstrated that IBA was not effective for in vitro rooting of kiwi, cv. Hayward.
