【 摘 要 】

Problem statement: This study investigated the issues of trade and environment on sustainable development. It has reviewed the existing literature on trade and environment and conceptualized the economic, environmental and social effects of sustainable development. The review has six parts. Approach: Firstly, we discussed the market access, barriers to trade and impediments. Secondly, we state the trade liberalization, timber trade and environment. Results: Thirdly, we analyzed the agreements on tropical timber. Fourthly, we explained illegal logging, deforestation and pollution on trade and environment. Fifthly, we study sustainable forest management. Conclusion: Finally, we related the sustainable development on tropical timber trade. The purpose of this study was to highlight and clarify the impacts of trade and environment on sustainable development.
