References(22)Cited-By(1)In this paper the use of quantitative risk analysis for the purpose of verification of fire safety designs is discussed. Various methods of quantitative risk analysis are presented and their use in the context of fire safety engineering is exemplified. The use of absolute and relative risk criteria is discussed and various problems associated with the two types are taken up. Due to the inadequacies of absolute criteria, the use of relative risk criterion for verification of fire safety is suggested.
