【 摘 要 】
- Nitrogen and sulfur fertilizations were evaluated in a native low-land pasture area (Planossolo) in southern Brazil, state of Rio Grande do Sul, for dry matter yield and crude protein contents, between Oct. 1996 and Mar. 1997. In a factorial treatment arrangement six levels of sulfur (0, 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 kg/ha) were combined with four levels of nitrogen (50, 100, 150 and 200 kg/ha) topdressed to the pasture in Oct. 10, 1996. Two cuttings were made to determine dry matter yield and crude protein contents (Dec. 3, 1996 and Mar. 14, 1997). Results indicate that both factors increase the dry matter yield and crude protein contents on forage. With 35 kg/ha of sulfur was obtained the maximum dry matter yield. However at level of 200 kg/ha of nitrogen was not enough to obtain maximum dry matter yield. At levels of 200 kg/ha of nitrogen and 50 kg/ha of sulfur was not enough to obtain the maximum crude protein contents.
