【 摘 要 】

When recognizing its social characteristics, the Information Science, see himself ahead of a new question: who is the citizens of the knowledge of the area in the Brazilian context? The question for the construction citizen of the knowledge directed to the Information Science, discloses the context of production of that we take as emblematic or paradigmatic today for the area, in the national context. Moreover, the process of construction of this knowledge, the ethical questions and the entailings of being able the one that can be susceptible the Information Science, are argued in the article. Finally, the possibility of alternatives of construction of an image that supports the hibridism between science and technology, ethics and power is presented as possible to lead the actions of the citizens "demiurges" of the area of Information Science.
