【 摘 要 】

This work aims to discuss the main environmental evaluation methods to be applied in air pollution studies. The two main approaches are: those based on consumers preferences and those based on measurable effects on environmental damages, as well as dose-response functions. It was verified that in non developed countries, where the environmental awareness was in the beginning stage, the dose-response function method was more appropriated. It is also discussed the two main method in dose-response function: the cross section and the temporal approach.
